Teamwork problems usually have roots below the visible symptoms.

When something feels off, most of us try to solve the surface tension. We smooth things over or try to work around the issue.

Sometimes that relieves pressure in the moment.
Often, it entrenches the very patterns we’re trying to change.

My work focuses on identifying the real driver beneath what looks like a surface problem.

Here are three ways we can work together:

Pattern Recognition Session

For team leaders and team members who are navigating a specific situation and want clarity.

You might be:

  • unsure what to do next

  • feeling stuck, frustrated, or resentful

  • noticing effort is not improving the situation

  • replaying a conversation and wondering what you missed

In a 60-minute Pattern Recognition Session, we focus on one situation.

Together, we:

  • distinguish what is happening from what is driving it

  • identify the level of the problem (individual, relational, structural)

  • clarify where effort may be misdirected

  • outline a few viable paths forward

You leave with orientation and options.

For returning clients who want occasional, asynchronous diagnostic input, limited text-based support is available by request.

Friction Calibration

For team leaders or team members experiencing repeating friction, misalignment, or unclear ownership.

When a team flounders, sometimes friction is the culprit.

Too much friction drains energy, stalls decisions, and fuels repeated tension.

And too little friction can be a signal of avoidance, or false harmony that hides disagreement.

The Friction Calibration is a structured, multi-session diagnostic designed to:

  • identify how friction is currently operating

  • distinguish symptom from driver

  • test strategic shifts

  • refine the diagnosis based on real-world feedback

This is a focused calibration process to help you understand what kind of friction your team needs, and how to calibrate it intentionally.

When friction is dialed to the correct setting, creativity increases, resentment decreases, and a team becomes more than the sum of its parts.

Pattern Lab (Professional Development)

For leadership groups, manager cohorts, and organizations who want to build shared diagnostic capacity.

In these sessions, participants learn how to:

  • distinguish pain from pattern

  • identify when effort is entrenching a dynamic

  • locate the level at which a problem lives

  • avoid solving the wrong thing

These sessions are designed to sharpen perception. Participants gain a new lens through which to see teamwork challenges, and practice applying the lens to identify the root causes of common teamwork struggles.

Available as:

  • 90-minute workshops

  • half-day sessions

  • multi-session cohorts

A Note on Fit

This work resonates most with people who:

  • value rigor and humanity

  • are willing to examine their own assumptions

  • want clarity more than comfort

  • are ready to look at what is actually driving the situation

If that sounds like you, we will likely work well together.
